On June 14, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Nigeria Ivan Kholostenko payed a courtesy visit to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cameroon to Nigeria Salahaddine Abbas Ibrahima.
It is important that the Cameroonian Ambassador to Nigeria is the Dean of the Nigerian diplomatic corps and has been in Nigeria for almost 15 years (since July 2008).
Ivan Kholostenko informed his Cameroonian colleague about the brave struggle of Ukrainian defenders against the russian invaders, focusing in particular on the situation around the Kakhovka HPP, which was blown up by the russian military.
The Cameroonian Ambassador was also informed in detail about the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The parties discussed current issues and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Cameroon, where Ukraine plans to open its embassy.
Mr. Salahaddine Abbas Ibrahima was informed about Ukraine's grain initiatives in Africa and the prospects of creating grain hubs.
The Ambassador of Ukraine and the Dean of the diplomatic corps also exchanged views on protocol specifics of the host country.
