Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Nigeria was opened in 2001.
The sphere of responsibility of the Embassy also includes four states of the Western Africa Region: Benin, Cameroon, Gabon, Togo.
The zone of consular accountability of the Embassy in Abuja also includes Benin, Cameroon, Gambia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Togo.
There were the following Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Nigeria:
Volodymyr I. Butiaga (2001-2003);
Оleg Y. Skoropad (2004-2009);
Valerii V. Vasyliev (2009-2014);
Valerii Y. Aleksandruk (2015-2019).
Until October 2014 the Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Nigeria was located in the district Wuse-2. Currently the Embassy of Ukraine has the following address: Plot 894, Olu Awotesu str., Jabi District.
