To mark the Constitution Day of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Federal Republic of Nigeria hosted a special screening of the Ukrainian animated film "Mavka. The Forest Song" for children.
Among the invited guests were students and teachers from Abuja World Academy, as well as representatives of the media, opinion leaders, and numerous Nigerian children.
The film "Mavka. The Forest Song", inspired by Ukrainian mythology and literary classics, offered young viewers a glimpse into the atmosphere of Ukrainian culture, nature, and spiritual values. The screening was part of the Embassy’s ongoing efforts to promote Ukrainian culture among Nigeria’s younger generation, particularly through the lens of folk tales, traditional symbols, and imagery.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria, H.E. Ivan Kholostenko, emphasized:
“We truly believe that introducing children to the culture of a country from an early age — through fairy tales, music, and emotion — is the best way to build trust and mutual respect. Cultural diplomacy is an investment in the future of bilateral relations.”
