Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha:
"We welcome today’s EU Enlargement Report on Ukraine. It reaffirms Ukraine’s great progress and determination to advance on its European path even amid Russia’s full-scale war.
We continue comprehensive reforms, including in the areas of rule of law, anti-corruption, and governance as the foundation of our democratic and European future.
I am particularly proud that Chapter 31 “Foreign, Security, and Defense Policy”, which is in the scope of responsibility of the MFA of Ukraine , gained a high estimate. We did a great job in synchronizing the sanctions against Russia with the EU and ensuring 99% alignment with the EU’s foreign policy statements.
Ukraine has completed the screening process and stands ready to open negotiation clusters—the next logical step to reflect progress in political decisions.
Ukraine’s membership in the EU is a security guarantee for our country and the best long-term investment in the entire European continent’s security.
By integrating Ukraine, the EU strengthens its own stability, unity, and resilience. A stronger and safer Europe is impossible without Ukraine as its integral part."
