The Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Mr. Abubakar Ahmed Kende, and the heads of the organization’s key project areas.

During the meeting, the Ambassador emphasized the role of the Society in the humanitarian response system and in providing assistance to affected populations.

Particular attention was given to discussing prospects for cooperation between the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and the Nigerian Red Cross Society.

“In today’s world, cooperation and joint efforts are the foundation of an effective response to humanitarian crises,” the Ambassador noted.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Head of the diplomatic mission addressed the participants of volunteer groups who were undergoing training at the Society’s premises, thanked them for their dedication to humanitarian work, and emphasized the importance of their efforts in supporting affected communities.
