Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria Ivan Kholostenko held a meeting with Mr. Dehpue Yenpea Zuo, Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture of the ECOWAS Commission.

The parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Ukraine and the Economic Community of West African States, particularly in the areas of trade, agriculture and food security.

The Ambassador briefed his counterpart on Ukraine’s potential in agricultural production, agricultural processing and the application of modern technologies in the agricultural sector. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for implementing joint projects aimed at strengthening food security in West African countries.

The parties also exchanged views on ways to intensify economic contacts and expand practical cooperation between Ukraine and ECOWAS Member States.
