The Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria highlighted the publication of the latest report of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine, presented at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

Ambassador of Ukraine Ivan Kholostenko emphasized that the document provides compelling evidence that the Russian Federation continues to commit systematic war crimes and crimes against humanity in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The Commission documented large-scale drone attacks on civilian areas, destruction of hospitals, residential buildings, and energy facilities, as well as forced deportations and torture of civilians.

Ukraine fully supports the Commission’s conclusions and underscores the need to ensure accountability for all perpetrators to prevent such crimes from ever happening again.
