Alongside Romania and Moldova, Ukraine secured a place on the Executive Board, while Russia did not get a seat.
“Russia failed to be elected for the second consecutive time – despite its enormous efforts. This is the right decision – aggressor that undermines all norms of international law has no place in such important bodies, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha has stressed.
While the aggressor seeks to erase our identity and culture, Ukraine stands firm – defending its heritage and contributing to advance education, science, and culture even amid the war. We thank all Member States for their trust and support!
