To mark Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Embassy of Ukraine in Abuja hosted the exhibition “Three Years of Resistance — Ukraine in Photographs”, attended by representatives of leading Nigerian media outlets.
The exhibition featured unique photos and videos taken during the war, showing the everyday resilience of Ukrainian citizens and the courage and steadfastness of our Defenders on the frontline.
Guests also had the opportunity to view battle flags and insignia of Ukrainian military units currently defending our state. These artifacts were handed over to the Embassy exclusively by the soldiers themselves and bear their signatures.
It is symbolic that the event took place on the occasion of Independence Day — for three years now, Ukraine has been proving its right to be free and independent, as well as the right of all people to live in a world of peace and justice.
The exhibition began with a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the latest massive Russian missile and drone attack, which claimed the lives of at least 15 civilians, including four children. The youngest victim was less than three years old. Guests and Embassy staff honored the memory of the innocent victims and all those who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence.
Together we are strong. Together we stand for peace.
