In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine № 211 dated 11.03.2020 «On prevention of the spread of COVID-19 acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Ukraine» all the educational institutions have been quarantined since March 12, 2020.

To prevent coronavirus COVID-19 from spreading it is recommended to all the educational institutions to organize the educational process through distance learning technologies to enable students, in particular foreign students, to complete the educational programs (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 406 dated March 16, 2020).

If foreign students voluntarily quit their education and exit the territory of Ukraine, their temporary residence permit shall be canceled.

Such foreigners can enter territory of Ukraine for the purpose of continuation of their studies shall be carried out in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine (receiving again the invitation to study from the educational institution, obtaining the multiple entry visa and a temporary residence permit).

During the quarantine period and within 30 days after its cancellation the State Migration Service of Ukraine temporally shall not apply penalties against foreigners and stateless persons that legally reside in Ukraine and have violated the migration law in the part of exceeding the duration of stay in Ukraine (Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine No. 259, dated March 18, 2020).
