Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria is happy to know that you are planning your journey to Ukraine during these difficult times. Embassy is ready to provide any assistance, which we are authorized to provide as a Consular section of the Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria.

Embassy has received multiple inquiries from foreign nationals to issue letters confirming authenticity of Ukrainian residence permits, as such letters are required by some embassies for transit visas applications.  

Unfortunately, the Embassy of Ukraine (as well as any other diplomatic missions of Ukraine) are unable to issue such letters confirming authenticity of residence permits to Ukraine, since such residence permits are issued by the State Migration Service of Ukraine (https://dmsu.gov.ua/en-home.html) and the Embassy doesn’t have access to their database.

At the same time please be advised that not all Embassies/Consulates of Ukraine’s neighboring countries may require the above-mentioned letter, therefore if you have difficulties obtaining such residence permit confirmation letter directly from the State Migration Service of Ukraine, you might want to consider for applying for transit visa to another country
