On 30 March, with the facilitation of the Embassy, a videoconference was held between the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mr. Oleksandr Merezhko and the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Hon. Oluwole Busayo Oke.

From the Ukrainian side, the meeting was attended by the Counsellor of the Embassy, while the Nigerian side was represented by Members of the House of Representatives — members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The interlocutors discussed the further development of interparliamentary cooperation, in particular the prospects for intensifying contacts, deepening institutional dialogue, and facilitating exchanges of visits at various levels. The parties also exchanged views on a broad range of current agenda issues and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral engagement.
