The Embassy of Ukraine in Nigeria has presented Bingham University with a collection of books on Ukrainian history, culture, national diversity, and the modern challenges faced by our country.
“These books are our voice in the world. They tell the story of Ukraine as it truly is: multicultural, ancient, modern, and resilient. We want Nigerian students to discover Ukraine — a country of freedom, dignity, and strength of spirit,” said Ambassador Ivan Kholostenko.
The Embassy expresses its sincere gratitude to the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, for the global initiative “Ukrainian Bookshelf,” which enables Ukrainian culture to be represented in universities and libraries across dozens of countries.
We also thank the leadership of Bingham University, particularly the Vice Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba, for the openness to cooperation and for supporting Ukrainian–Nigerian cultural relations.
May this bookshelf become a bridge between our nations — a bridge of knowledge, trust, and mutual respect.
