On November 24, 2018, on the day of commemoration of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, the leading Nigerian newspaper ’’The Guardian’’ published an expanded article by Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria Valery Alexandruk on the Holodomor, "EXECUTION BY HUNGER: Communist Genocide in Ukraine".

The article informs the Nigerian audience about the causes and consequences of the 1932-1933 Holodomor in Ukraine and calls on the National Assembly of Nigeria to recognize the Holodomor as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
