On March 7, 2017 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. Valerii Aleksandruk, held a meeting with Governor of Delta State Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, during his working visit to Delta State.

The issues of establishing regional cooperation between Delta State and the regions of Ukraine, as well as expending contacts between the business-circles of two countries, in particular holding the first Nigerian-Ukrainian business forum in Kyiv were discussed during the meeting.
