Among the participants of the event there were representatives of leading media of Nigeria, in particular “The Guardian”, “News Agency of Nigeria”, the Coordinator of National Analytical Center of Nigeria, representatives of official and business circles.

The participants of the press conference were informed of the state and prospects of development of Ukraine - Nigeria relations with an emphasis on Ukraine’s interest to intensify political dialogue with the new administration of Nigeria expanding bilateral cooperation in all fields and within international organizations, including the UN.

It was indicated that industrial and technological potential of Ukraine could be successfully involved in implementing major projects in Nigeria in the areas of energy, infrastructure and industry, including construction of gas transportation system of Nigeria, development of steel industry and mineral resources, creation of generation capacity, roads and railways modernization and construction.

The prospects of bilateral cooperation in other areas, including education and military and technical cooperation were also highlighted.

The participants of the conference were informed of the situation in the east of Ukraine in the light of continuing aggression of Russia.

During the press conference, a special presentation on the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the Russian support of terrorist activities in our country was made on the basis of materials of the relevant services of Ukraine and the Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine.

After the press conference, Ambassador V.Aleksandruk gave an interview to Nigerian media.
